Daddy Robin"
When I was
born you watched me enter the world,
You cried with joy when you saw your baby girl.
I fell in love when you held me in your arms,
I knew you'd protect me from any harm.
I like the
way you make me smile,
You're almost as fun as my crib mobile.
I like it when I fly through the air,
You comfort me when Mommy's not there.
I love it when you zerbert my belly,
You change my diaper when it is smelly.
You wash me and play with me in my bath tub,
You laugh when I do my Dr. Evil hand rub.
Our bond is
tight, one you can't sever,
You love that I have "the best lips ever."
Each morning before work you kiss me good-bye,
Do you have all those drinks because I cry?
You can't
wait to put my hair up in pigtails,
You buy cool gifts like plush airplanes and wood whales.
You think I'm cute zipped up in my sleep sack,
And you thank me for Mommy's fantastic new rack.
You hope
that I inherit your cunning street-smarts,
You laugh when I lift my legs when I fart.
You play with me even though I bruise you with kicks,
Whenever we go out I attract the chicks.
Soon I'll
be waddling and I'll give you no rest,
But you'll still tell Mommy that I'm "the best."
You'll put me in dresses and we'll laugh really hard
As we run around the sprinkler in the backyard.
The thought
of me growing up makes your heart melt,
You'll greet my first date wearing your Judo black belt.
But I'll always be your Baloney with the cute, bald head
Who sticks out her tongue and hogs the bed.
Because you
love me I'm so happy and calm,
I love my Daddy, he's the bomb.
I hope you have the best Father's Day,
And don't worry - I'll care for you when you're old and grey.
