For Brent:  I think he will really get a kick out of this special birthday poem that I have written. I know this year will be filled with changes but going forward I anticipate that he will remain a solid friend and fixture in my life, as well as the life of my expanding family.

"Happy Birthday, Brent" - to you from me,
Here's a written tribute to all things that make you "B":

You enjoy the drinks like Rusty Nails,
You prefer boats with paddles instead of sails.
You like to surf on the web and waves,
I know who to call if it's White Spot I crave.

Bamboo covers your condo walls,
You wear suits that make you look 7-feet tall.
When we go to Kingston we get VIP care,
I like how you wear hats instead of hair.

I love your Spice Mountain and half-Christmas tree,
I think it's funny you traded softball for Wii.
You'll rent a car just to go to Wal-Mart,
You are a city boy but still a farmer at heart.

Orange is your colour, so happy and bright,
You're the only one I know with a Superman night-light.
You like your choice cuts, no meat on the bone,
You talk to Leroy when you're home alone.

I laugh at your cell phone's "Xanadu" ring,
I know that naps are your weekend thing.
You like Becks and Posh and Robbie too,
You always comment how I eat more than you.

You look good in comic tees and cowboy boots,
But I know your favourite is your track 'leisure' suit.
We've played Dance-Dance until we were tired and sweaty,
I know you still love a dog named Betty.

So another B-day is finally here,
More good times, another fun year.
Enjoy it now while you're still the Daddy Mack,
'Cuz in 2 years it'll be Botox and black.
